The new Prada handbags for the fall collection are making me think of pseudo stylish Barbie Doll fashions and Molly Ringwald in her heyday. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry – or other, less proprietary things that one should not mention in mixed company.

A big seller in the fall line is the Prada Vitello Daino Tote Bag – a lovely name for a huge monstrosity the color of pink peonies and My Little Ponies. I have not seen anything so glaringly pink since back in the early nineties. My Barbie doll had an atrocious raincoat in the exact same shade as this. Now, as if you, dear reader, could not tell, I am not the biggest fan of pink. At best, I like a nice, soft pink, the color of antiquity and old rose petals; the pink of an eighteenth century, prima ballerina’s tulle and toe shoes, perhaps.

That being said, however, I would be altogether more forgiving of this prada bags if it belonged to the summer line. Even the spring collection is better suited to hot pink. However, let me repeat, this is for the fall collection. Autumn. And all I can see in my head is the streets of  New York City, alive with the vibrant red, russet, yellow, ochre, and burnt umber shades on the trees – and a succession of celebutantes and celebrities, spoiling the view as they walk down the street, swinging their huge, bold pink tote bags.

For that matter, I would like to know when Prada puses  evolved into grandma bags. This thing costs $1,095.00 , and for that price, it looks like it should come with a collection of lint covered candies and lipstick smeared tissues already included. Check more at Top1handbag.net.
